Forgotten Past

April 20, 2007

Well, I made it through the first bible study that I have ever done in my life as a teacher. Thank you so much for praying for me and the other young lady. Please keep us in your prayers!

Our evening was interesting!

We started on my front porch. I am doing the study on my front porch for two reasons: 1) I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ and 2) since her children are young she needed to be accessible to them. The first thing we did after getting settled was pray. Each time we meet for this study together we will ask God to lead, guide and direct us into what He wants to say. We are doing this just as Daniel and his friends did while in Babylon. Can’t you tell I’m doing the Beth Moore study, “Daniel“?

Then we began the bible study and, of course, had many interruptions. But that is OKAY! God knew that this would happen.

Did I tell you how strong this feeling is in my heart this is what I am supposed to do for God — to teach and disciple others?

The time spent together went well. We didn’t finish the entire CD because of the interruptions, but we didn’t close without filling in all of the blanks for the session. I gave her the CD with a CD player (with headphones) so that she could listen to it in its entirety during a time when her children were asleep. I explained to her how important it would be to listen to it again so that she could grasp all that was said. I pray that her ears will hear all that the Spirit is saying.

I realized last night that once upon a time, I was where she was at…the beginning. I didn’t realize until the study that I was with a BABY Christian. One who was just beginning. Oh Lord, that you will give me a teachable spirit. May I only say only what the Spirit says and not my flesh. May she seek you with her whole heart.

What I learned last night:

  • I actually do have patience!
  • God was and is doing a great work and will complete that which He started.
  • He is in control.

God has shown me so much in the past 6 years! I am so thankful to where God has brought me to today. Ah, to know that God has shown me so much in His word and keeps giving me new revelation (rhema word).

What a wonderful journey he has me on.

Shalom!

    Hi,

It’s nice to see another Bible Teacher in here [MyBlog]. I’m a Bible Teacher too. I come from a hindu faith and Yeshua healed me of cancer of the bone/muscles at the age of 9. Do keep coming to my site and blog.
