Kingdom of God

April 9, 2008

There is no one like the God of Israel. He rides across the heavens to help you, across the skies in majestic splendor.
Deuteronomy 33:26

Then Jesus said, “What is the Kingdom of God like? How can I illustrate it? It is like a tiny mustard seed planted in a garden, it grows and becomes a tree, and the birds come and find shelter among its branches.”
Luke 13:18-19

He [David} cared for them with a true heart and led them with skillful hands.
Psalm 78:72

My Thoughts:

The Kingdom of God. What is the definition of Kingdom in this context?

Jesus talks of the Kingdom of God all the time. What was Jesus doing? Was the Kingdom of God a place – a function – a Kingdom or a people? Where is the Kingdom of God? How is it portrayed? What is the definition according to Jesus?

To be like David: Do I care for people for those around me with a true heart? Am I leading with skillful hands? What causes me to work one way (skillful) versus another?

Kingdom would mean King’s domain? I love to talk about the KOG, my favorite topic…
