Wings – Refuge – Reward

May 6, 2008

So Ruth went out to gather grain behind the harvesters. And as it happened, she found herself in a field that belonged to Boaz, the relative of her father-in-law, Elimelech.
Ruth 2:3

I so believe that God is one who orders our steps. He obviously ordered Ruth’s. Order my steps in your WORD LORD!!!

“May the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge, reward you fully for what you have done.”
Ruth 2:12

In those days it was custom in Israel for anyone transferring a right of purchase to remove his sandal and hand it to the other party. This publicly validated the transaction.
Ruth 4:7

Then Jesus told him, “Go back home. Your son will live!” And the man believed Jesus’ word and started home.
John 4:50

When the LORD tells you something — BELIEVE!!!

Until the time came to fulfil his word, the LORD tested Joseph’s character.
Psalm 105:19

Those who fear the LORD are secure; he will be a place of refuge for their children.
Proverbs 14:26

I’m transcribing a book an elderly lady in our church wrote on the story of Ruth today. Amazing stuff…and I needed that scripture about the sandle to insert for her! Thanks for listing it! LOVE this story! This lady really put it to fiction! So gifted.
